I studied Chemistry (Biochemistry) at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and moved to London(UK) right after the completion of my degree to complete my training in science (cancer related field). I have been working in science for almost 20 years and in core technology platforms for over 15 years now, started as a technical expert and then move to lead one of them, first as a Deputy Manager of the FACS Lab at the London Research Institute-Cancer Research UK in London for 4 years and since 2009 as the Flow Cytometry Core Unit head at the Spanish National Cancer Research Center (CNIO). I have participated in several committees in societies such the International Society for the Advancement of Cytometry (ISAC) or the European Core Technologies for Life Science Association (CTLS), and since my return to Spain I have been working in promoting cytometry in Spain through the Iberian Cytometry Society (SIC).
