She studied Environmental Science and she developed her PhD in ICMAN-CSIC. She is Dr. in Management and Conservation of the Sea, receiving the Extraordinary PhD Award of Cádiz University. She has studied 2 MS degree in Biomedicine and Oceanography. Currently, she has “Juan de la Cierva Formación” contract in IIM-CSIC. Her research activity is focused on the effects of emergent pollutants such as (e.g. metallic nanoparticles, micro and nanoplastics and antibiotics) on freshwater and marine organisms such as microalgae and bivalves.
